A striking resemblance

Since its re-opening in April 2007, the Musée de l’Horlogerie [Museum of Clock and Watchmaking] has had a beautiful collection of grandfather clocks from Saint-Nicolas on display, two of which are exceptional. One of them was deposited by the Château-Musée de Dieppe and, unusually, is signed by the master cabinet maker Spiridion Cartier. Its resemblance to one of the clocks already in the museum is striking.
