A new acquisition...

The The Rouen Museum of Ceramics very recently acquired, from a dealer in Paris, an exceptional faience vase from Rouen, dating from the first part of the 18th century. This vase had belonged to a Swiss collection for several decades, but the date of its acquisition and entry into this collection could not be clarified. A baluster vase with a double gourd, it is encircled with a faience bouquet of flowers and is almost 95 cm high.
