This panel was the most badly damaged of the three. Some of the background tiles had come off, and twenty-eight were lost. The figure’s wrist, a tulip and a leaf were all broken.
A chip on the hat, and the edges of the pleats in the dress were reworked. The border tiles, which were particularly damaged, were also restored.
Ceramist Sylvie Amadei was given the task of reconstructing the missing tiles; after developing a colour chart, she produced three different series which were blended with the original tiles.
