Dating the clock: around 1831

Several features allow the clock to be dated: the patent mark, the “médaille d’or 1827” stamp, and two springs signed “Borel 7bre 1831”. The stamps face each other, but the “Pons breveté” [Patented Pons] stamp visible on the back plate is different from the one inside the movement “médaille d’or 1827”.
